From Million Dollar Business Owner, To Mental Asylum, To Health Advocate

Hi, I’m Trent.

I’ve lived in Brisbane since I was six. I have two loving kids and three dogs.

In my late 20s, I went from running a multi-million dollar business to having a breakdown in a mental asylum.

It was an experience that almost broke me. But it put me on the path I’m on today as an advocate for physical and mental health. 

Before my breakdown, I thought my strength was in doing everything myself.

Whenever things got tough, I tried to get tougher. 

I worked over 80 hours a week, neglected my health, neglected my family, and I was drinking heavily.

I was completely out of balance, and to be honest, I wasn’t even sure if I had a purpose for being here anymore…

I had a complete breakdown and ended up in a mental hospital, which gave me a lot of time to reflect on my life.

I realised the impact my poor decisions had on myself, my family and my community.

I took a hard look at myself and realised I needed to change.

Only this time, I would do things differently. This time I would ask for help, I’d get support, and I would keep things in balance.

As I started to approach my life with this changed perspective, I realised that when I spent equal time and attention on my health, relationships and purpose, they all grew evenly. 

This drastically improved my quality of life.

This also improved my resilience to anxiety and depression and reduced my dependency on substances to escape stress.

Now, I want to help people to not make the same mistakes I did.

I want to help people become more resilient so they live a life of purpose.

The 3 Pillars Of Health

Many of the successful people I know are great at what they do in their career, business or sport.

The problem is that they can get too focused on excelling in one area of their life and neglect other areas.

This can be their physical or mental health, friends and family or their reason for getting up in the morning.

If one of these areas is not getting the attention it needs, it can feel like something just isn’t quite right.

What tends to happen is they focus on what they’re good at instead of looking at how they can create more balance.

To everyone else on the outside, they look like they’re crushing it and winning at life. But on the inside, they know a piece is missing.

That’s why I developed The 3 Pillars Of Health.

I use this to help my clients regain balance, perform their best and improve their quality of life.

Sure, I love batman and superman as much as the next 12-year-old, but the heroes I love most are the everyday superheroes.

The Mums, Dads, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues that you pass by on the street. The everyday people that are putting in the work to get from where they are now to where they want to be.

Whether going for a promotion, making a record sales month, overcoming an injury, or just preparing to have a difficult conversation, they’re after something more than just keeping things the way they are.

They have big visions for their life, working hard with laser-like focus to bring them into reality.

They embrace challenges and growth and want to make sure they’re doing everything they can to keep their minds and bodies in great shape so they’re ready to handle everything the world is throwing at them.

These are the heroes I get to help every day.

Where I’m different to other health practitioners is that while many of them focus on treating surface-level symptoms, I’m all about depth.

With the clients I treat, I go deep to find the root cause of the issue, pain or injury and develop a treatment plan to address it fully.

Often times, this can be done in just a few sessions. Other times, it can take multiple sessions with acupuncture, massage and coaching.

Either way, my clients have found that even after just one session with me, they’re feeling better than they were when they came in, with results that last.
